For years, I shared the story of the home we were building while keeping the home we already loved private. As we prepare to leave, an unexpected certainty about who comes next has made letting go feel less like loss and more like grace.

For years, The Essex Ranch was a future we could imagine without leaving the life we already loved. Then, within a single week, the RVs sold, our Fort Worth home went under contract, and the life we had spent years preparing for began to arrive all at once.

As the ranch begins to feel more like home, I find myself standing between two chapters… grateful for the life we have built, aware of what I will miss, and beginning to understand what the life ahead will ask of us.
